Nothing at All

I ask for it
You promise to give it to me
I wait for it
You bring it
I feel nothing at all
It slips through your fingers like a bar of soap
It softly hits the ground yet shatters into a million pieces I feel nothing at all
I step on it
It sinks into my flesh like a knife
It goes through my skin and crushes my bones
I crumble to the ground and turn to dust
I feel nothing at all
The fear crawls up your bones and seeps out of your veins You are showered with the dread
The guilt stabs you in the heart
I feel nothing at all
You hit the ground hard
You crack open
The fear, dread and guilt pours out of you and drowns me You are in so much pain
I feel nothing at all
