Just a Phone

Ripped, torn, pushed to the floor, but no one is there.
Just you, a knife in the heart, but there is no cut.
Lost in the hallways, but still in your room.
Such hateful words, not spoken by anyone, it’s just a phone.
Stronger than a gun, sharper than a needle,

quicker than a punch that can’t be dodged.

Why can words that were never spoken cause so much pain?
Why can punches not thrown hit so hard WHY?
