Nobel laureate Kazuo Ishiguro, author of  Never Let Me Go  and the Booker Prize-winning  The Remains of the Day,  presents his latest novel,  Klara and the Sun, that looks at our rapidly changing modern world in a way that only he could create.

The narrator, Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, watches carefully the behaviour of those who come in to browse, like an unloved orphan, remaining hopeful a customer will soon choose her. But when the possibility emerges that her circumstances may change forever, Klara is warned not to invest too much in the promises of humans. A thrilling book that offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator, and one that explores the fundamental question: What does it mean to love?

Kazuo Ishiguro talks about Klara and the Sun with Giller Prize-winning novelist and poet, Ian Williams,  and the unique view of the world as it transforms.
