Join us as Denise Chong sits down for a conversation with Jesse Thistle.  From the Ashes: My story of being Métis, homeless, and finding my way  is a memoir that explores the impact of prejudice and racism, while also telling a story of hope and resilience. It is also one of the five contenders for CBC’S annual Canada Reads competition.

Jesse Thistle, once a high school dropout and now a rising Indigenous scholar, chronicles his life on the streets and how he overcame trauma and addiction to discover the truth about who he is.

Limit of 2 tickets per person. Please note: your reservation may not guarantee admission as the event will be overbooked. Unclaimed reservations will be released to standby customers ten minutes before the start of the program. We recommend that you arrive early.
