Since our leaders are behaving like children, we will have to take the responsibility they should have taken long ago.

Greta Thunberg

In this Republic of Childhood episode we examine the role of student activism in the face of the climate crisis with student activist Alexis Benns, and look at how we can reimagine schools that honour the histories of Indigenous, Black and Racialized populations with educator and scholar Dr Vidya Shah. We take a look at the myth of neutrality in curriculum development and ask can we really have climate change without system change?

Suitable for young writers aged 13+, this event is presented by Republic Of Childhood.
