Masterclass: Connecting Plot and Character

Kenneth Oppel · Photo by Mark Raynes Roberts

The perfect book right now for young readers searching for hope, strength, inspiration — and just a little horticultural havoc.

New York Times

Who better to lead us through the balancing act of storytelling that compels us to keep turning pages with characters that come vividly to life than Governor General’s Award-winner Kenneth Oppel?

Kenneth sits down with Ottawa teacher Curtis Perry for a conversation on connecting plot and character using his critically acclaimed new Bloom Trilogy for inspiration.

Suitable for young writers aged 13+, this event is presented by Republic Of Childhood and OPL’s Ottawa Reads YA/Ottawa Boutique.
