After escaping a decade of abuse living in a forced marriage in Canada and sharing her story, Samra became a beacon of hope for many people facing exclusion, abuse, and gender-based violence. She now engages audiences around the world, speaking about equity, human rights, life after trauma, and more. Her speaking portfolio includes platforms such as TEDx, Amnesty International, Yale University, ME to WE, and Women’s Business Network. Samra proudly graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master’s degree in Economics with the highest distinction and several awards and scholarships, including the prestigious John Moss Award. She also serves as a Governor for UofT, is pursuing a rewarding corporate career, and runs Brave Beginnings, the NPO she founded to support abuse survivors.
