Natasha Deen

Natasha Deen has written more than 24 books for children and teens. Natasha was born in Canada and moved to Guyana when she was very young but soon her family moved back to Canada to escape the country’s growing racial and political violence. Her Young Adult novel, In the Key of Nira Ghani won the 2020 Amy Mathers Teen Book Award. When Natasha is not writing she teaches Introduction to Children’s Writing with the University of Toronto’s School of Continuous Studies. She lives in Edmonton Alberta
