Alexander McClelland
Alexander McClelland is a critical criminology assistant professor at Carleton University’s Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice. His work focuses on the intersections of life, law, and disease. He has developed collaborative and interdisciplinary writing, academic, activist, and artistic projects to address issues of criminalization, sexual autonomy, surveillance, drug liberation, and the construction of knowledge on HIV. Portions of McClelland’s chapter first appeared in Maisonneuve magazine in his article “Unprepared,” published in 2019.
