Of Bosnian heritage, Sanita Fejzić escaped the Siege of Sarajevo as a child with her mother and little brother. They were refugees in Croatia, Italy and finally, Switzerland before immigrating to Canada with her father in 1997. Her first book, Psychomachia, was launched on September 29, 2016 with Quattro Books. She is currently working on her first play, The Blissful State of Surrender, about a Bosnian-Canadian family. Fejzić has published prose and poetry in magazines and journals across the country.
