Monique Schwitter

Monique Schwitter was born in Zurich in 1972 and has lived in Hamburg since 2005. She studied acting and directing in Salzburg and worked for theatres in Zurich, Frankfurt, Graz and Hamburg. In 2004, she was awarded the Robert-Walser Prize and won the Swiss Schiller Foundation Award for her debut, Wenn’s schneit beim Krokodil (When It Snows at the Crocodile's). She has been a member of the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts since 2012. In 2013 she was awarded the Manuskripte-Prize for her oeuvre.
