Kurt F. Jensen

Kurt F. Jensen spent his career in the Canadian diplomatic service, starting as an Immigration Foreign Service Officer before becoming a Political/Economics Foreign Service Officer. He had postings to Sweden, Germany, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States. Short assignments also took him to many places in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. A considerable portion of his career was spent on Foreign Intelligence matters. Following his retirement, Dr. Jensen, as a specialist on intelligence topics, became an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University. For several years, he was also a Research Fellow at Carleton’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and served as its Coordinator for the CSDS-CCISS Strategic Seminar Series. He is a Board Member of the Canadian Immigration Historical Society and was on the Editorial Board of The Vimy Report. Dr. Jensen is the author of Cautious Beginnings: Canadian Foreign Intelligence, 1939-51. He is a regular contributor to periodicals relating to intelligence subjects.
