Nyla Matuk was born in Winnipeg and lives in Montreal. She is the author of two critically acclaimed books of poetry:Sumptuary Laws, shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Award, and Stranger. She is also the editor of an anthology of poems, Resisting Canada.
