Leon Rooke is the author of seven novels, including Shakespeare’s Dog which won the 1981 Governor General’s Award for Fiction, five plays and numerous collections of short fiction. He has also published over 300 stories in magazines in Canada, the United States and Europe. His selected stories Hitting the Charts was published last year by Biblioasis. A native of North Carolina, Leon has lived in Canada for many years, and now makes his home in Toronto with his wife Constance.
