Nancy MorejÓn is one of Cuba's foremost poets. She was born in 1944 and grew up in an old neighbourhood of Havana. Her published works include Mutismos, Amor, cíudad atribuída, and Octubre imprescindible. Her work has been translated into many languages. She has also translated poetry by Paul Eluard, Jacques Roumain and Aimé Césaire. Nancy studied Language and French Literature at the University of Havana. Her most recent book in English is With Eyes and Soul: Images of Cuba.
