Felicia Mihali was born in Romania, where she published her first three books. She graduated from University of Bucharest, Romania with a Bachelor degree in French studies as well as a Bachelor degree in Chinese and Dutch. In the year 2000, she immigrated to Montreal, Quebec, where she continued her studies. In 2003, she obtained her Master's Degree in Postcolonial studies from University of Montreal. In 2002, her first novel Le Pays du fromage, which she translated herself, was published. Two years later, another novel, Luc, le Chinois et moi, was launched. Felicia Mihali is the managing editor of Terra Nova, an on-line monthly cultural magazine.
