Maureen Lennon brings a background in journalism and law to her writing. Her debut novel, A Place Apart, garnered glowing reviews in Quill & Quire, the Globe & Mail, the Kitchener Waterloo Record, Life and Fashion magazine, the Lethbridge Herald, and Books in Canada. The novel was long-listed for the 2006 ReLit award and received an honourable mention from W. P. Kinsella for the 2005 Books in Canada First Novel Award. A recipient of two Ontario Arts Council awards and a Canada Council for the Arts grant, Maureen is researching her next novel.
