Born in 1964, raised in Ottawa and Montreal, David Gow is the author of four full-length stage plays and an award-winning internationally broadcast radio adaptation. He received his MFA at New York University in Playwrighting/Theatre and has worked as a character actor in film and television. His plays have seen productions across Canada and the U.S., and, increasingly, around the world. In May 2000, David's play Cherry Docs premiered at Philadelphia's Wilma Theatre. The play was one of the most successful dramas in the theatre's history. David's new play, Bea's Niece, recently had its United States midwestern premiere with Next Act Theatre in Milwaukee and its East Coast premiere in Washington, D.C., at Metrostage of Alexandria. The Friedman Family Fortune and The Flight Of Peter Pumpkin-eater are his second and first plays. David is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada, Playwrights Union of Canada, and the Dramatists Guild of America.
