Carlo GÉbler was born in Dublin, brought up in London and now lives outside Enniskillen, in county Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. He is the author of novels for adults, most recently The Cure and How to Murder a Man, as well as fiction for children, most recently Caught on a Train. He occasionally directs documentaries for television. Put to the Test won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Regional Documentary. He is writer-in-residence at HMP Maghaberry, County Antrim, a Category A jail. Carlo is married with five children.
