School visit times are negotiable: times given in this schedule can be changed to suit schools. Likewise, age ranges are given as guidelines only, not absolutes.

    An in-depth look at the history of Africa, the roots of the continent's current problems, and what the future might hold. Caplan and Baxter look at the economics, politics and society of the continent, tackling problems such as population, environment, politics, race, the AIDS epidemic, exploitation by the developed world, and what the Western world can or should do about it.

Teddy was sent to the front during World War I as a present from twelve-year-old Aileen Rogers to her father Lawrence. In this book, Teddy tells his own story, evoking life in Canada and on the front during the First World War.

    presented at the Canadian War Museum
    with Key Porter Books

    A Bear in War tells the story of "Teddy," a stuffed bear now on display in the Canadian War Museum. Teddy was sent to the front during World War I as a present from twelve-year-old Aileen Rogers to her father Lawrence. In this book, Teddy tells his own story, evoking life in Canada and on the front during the First World War.

    Visitors will get a chance to see artifacts from the "Teddy" exhibit, along with an audiovisual presentation by the authors and a talk by the Museum's World War I historian. Families and children are encouraged to attend and get a glimpse of Canada's history and WWI legacy.
